The Heritage Foundation for Terra Nova National Park is one of 55 cooperating associations across Canada affiliated with federal, provincial and municipal government agencies. We are a non-profit organization, with a volunteer board of directors, operating since 1984, incorporated in 1986.

The foundation's role is to support and enhance Parks Canada mandate through programs that increase the effectiveness of the park. Some of the programs we undertake include environmental stewardship, climate change and waste management. These programs provide Canadian and International visitors with an opportunity to learn about and support Canada's natural and cultural heritage through interpretive hikes, walks and similar events.
